"Seen Through Horses" Campaign 2023

Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc.®, Charity Partner, Oregon, USA

Thank You For Your Support!

With your support, we raised a collective total of $5707!

With Heartfelt and Profound Gratitude

As the “Horses for Mental Health: Seen Through Horses May 1st to May 31st, 2023 Campaign” during Mental Health Awareness Month and “Dr. Rebecca’s 40th Birthday Facebook/Meta Fundraiser” have officially closed, we at Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc.®, are thrilled to announce that we raised a collective total of $5707.00 USD. THANK YOU to our incredible fundraising volunteers and generous donors for making this achievement possible.

Your support has made a tangible difference in the lives of individuals benefiting from our equine-assisted mental health (EAMH) programs. We are immensely grateful for every contribution that has brought hope and healing to those in need. This campaign marked our nonprofit’s first participation as a Charity Partner in a national month-long fundraising event and we are humbled and profoundly grateful for the overwhelming support we received from our amazing community.

We are also proud to share that we ranked 4th out of 55+ participating Charity Partner nonprofits in total funds raised. This success is a testament to the passion and dedication of our community. However, our focus has always been on spreading Awareness, Accessibility, and Affordability for mental health support through equine-assisted services (EAS) in mental health treatment. We recognize the importance of all participating nonprofits in this campaign and have donated to three deserving organizations in a collaborative spirit as a gesture of support and recognition for the invaluable work they provide to their communities.

We extend our deepest heartfelt gratitude to our donors, supporters, and volunteers. Your contributions will directly benefit the growth and sustainability of our equine-assisted mental health (EAMH) programs, enabling us to provide affordable and accessible services to those in need. Together, we are making a lasting impact on individuals’ well-being through horses’ healing power.

While this campaign has come to an end, our mission continues. We remain committed to reducing stigma, improving mental health, creating positive change in our community, and advocating for the benefits of the mutually beneficial human-animal bond between horses and humans in healing endeavors.

Why Our Horses for Mental Health Programs & Services Matter:

Did you know our Oregon community is facing a major mental health crisis?

•According to the Oregon Health Authority, 1 in 4 adults in Oregon experience a mental health condition each year.

•Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Oregon, and the state’s suicide rate is higher than the national average.

•Oregon has one of the highest rates of depression in the United States.

•The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on mental health in Oregon, with many individuals reporting increased levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.

•The shortage of mental health providers is a significant issue in Oregon, with many individuals struggling to access the care they need. Currently, there is a waitlist of clients interested to receive equine-assisted mental health care for 3-months to a year.

On the positive side, in Oregon, equine-assisted mental health programs and research conducted in Oregon are demonstrating that equine-assisted mental health is effective in improving mental health outcomes for those struggling with a variety of conditions. For example, research conducted in Oregon has found that equine-assisted mental health sessions have resulted in a reduction in post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, a decrease in depression and anxiety, and improved relationship satisfaction. The results of this research have been truly inspiring!

Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc.® are so proud to be part of the movement to bring equine-assisted mental health to those who need it most. However, we currently have a wait-list of over a dozen clients and their families seeking services, and so we are desperately wanting to meet that need with accessibility by expanding our equine facility and therapy herd, and affordability by sponsoring sessions for low-income clients and their families.

Why Your Donor Support Matters:

Imagine being able to make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues. Our nonprofit, Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc.® is dedicated to providing life-changing equine-assisted mental health services, research, education, and training to those in need. But we need your help to expand our services and reach even more individuals!

With your donor support, we can move our nonprofit to a larger facility, expand our days of operation, and bring in more therapy horses to provide even more support and care to those we serve. We are committed to providing a diverse, safe and supportive environment for individuals to engage with horses and experience the healing benefits of equine-assisted mental health.
