#GivingTuesday 2021

GivingTuesday is held on the 1st Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and is a generosity movement that was created in 2012 with the idea to create “a day that encourages people to do good” and is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world”. 

It is our hope, on this year’s #GivingTuesday2021 Day you will consider doing a great act of kindness by helping our cause to serve those in need by donating to our new nonprofit, Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc. (EEC, Inc.). EEC, Inc. is dedicated to bringing horses and humans together for individual, couples, and group mental health treatment, stabilization, and wellness to our local community, and to contribute to human-horse interaction research nationally and internationally in a multiplicity of ways. Why Donating Matters?

It is not only because we are a nonprofit that we automatically solicit for outside funding for operating our programs, it is because the overhead cost of horses often offsets fee-based revenue and because we want to provide services to those who are unable to pay either due to low income or out-of-pocket session costs.

Donation funds, of any amount, will help us afford the costs and sustainability of our programs and to serve more in our community who are in need of our services. 

Our vision is to help not just individuals, but groups and hold community and public outreach events and workshops, and that requires multiple horses, staff, volunteers, and resources. We will be able to meet that goal with the help of monetary and non-monetary donations.

If you would like to sponsor a therapy horse, individual or couples’ package, or specialized group program (i.e. At-risk youth, First Responders and EMTs, Seeking Safety women’s trauma recovery group, and/or veterans groups), please Contact Us!

EEC, Inc. is registered in Oregon, USA as a domestic nonprofit that offers services for the public benefit, and is operated exclusively for educational, charitable, scientific, and literary purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. EEC, Inc is not a tax-exempt organization yet because we are a new nonprofit and our 501c3 application is pending. It will take several months before our application receives recognition and approval by the IRS, and as soon as we receive our 501c3 status we will announce it in our newsletter and our News & Events page.

In meantime, donors may  receive tax credits for their donations, however it is advised to consult with an accountant or tax advisor regarding allowable donations that can count towards a charitable donation to a nonprofit.
