Sponsor Autumn Fund
We believe “Autumn” has incredible potential and is a wonderful fit for our in-person equine-assisted mental health (EAMH) program as a new therapy horse. We would like to purchase and provide quality care for her.
Your sponsorship not only supports our equine therapy program and “Autumn”, but also for every individual she will help heal. Whether a one-time donation or becoming an ongoing sponsor will make a profound difference.

Community Impact
Why Your Donation Matters. Did you know?
Did you know our Oregon community is facing a major mental health crisis?
•According to the Oregon Health Authority, 1 in 4 adults in Oregon experience a mental health condition each year.
•Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Oregon, and the state’s suicide rate is higher than the national average.
•Oregon has one of the highest rates of depression in the United States.
•The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on mental health in Oregon, with many individuals reporting increased levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.
•The shortage of mental health providers is a significant issue in Oregon, with many individuals struggling to access the care they need. Currently, there is a waitlist of clients interested to receive equine-assisted mental health care for 3-months to a year.
On the positive side, in Oregon, equine-assisted mental health programs and research conducted in Oregon are demonstrating that equine-assisted mental health is effective in improving mental health outcomes for those struggling with a variety of conditions. For example, research conducted in Oregon has found that equine-assisted mental health sessions have resulted in a reduction in post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, a decrease in depression and anxiety, and improved relationship satisfaction. The results of this research have been truly inspiring!
Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc.® are so proud to be part of the movement to bring equine-assisted mental health to those who need it most. However, we currently have a wait-list of over a dozen clients and their families seeking services, and so we are desperately wanting to meet that need with accessibility by expanding our equine facility and therapy herd, and affordability by sponsoring sessions for low-income clients and their families.

Why Donate?
If you believe that mental health exists and mental health symptoms can cause significant distress and impairment in someone’s life or in their relationships with others, and if you believe in using innovative and alternative methods to help treat mental health issues by including horses in the therapeutic process, then your donation will go a long way in providing access and affordability for people who need mental health services.
It is not only because we are a nonprofit that we automatically solicit for outside funding for operating our programs, it is because the overhead cost of horses often offsets fee-based revenue and because we want to provide services to those who are unable to pay either due to low income or out-of-pocket session costs.
Donation funds, of any amount, will help sustainability of our programs and to serve more in our community who are in need of our services. Our vision is to help not just individuals, but groups and hold community and public outreach events and workshops, and that requires multiple horses, staff, volunteers, and resources. We will be able to meet that goal with the help of monetary and non-monetary donations.
